Responsibilities
- Data Management & Analysis: Collect, clean, and analyze complex datasets from multiple sources to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
- Report Generation: Create detailed reports, dashboards, and visualizations using tools like Tableau or Power BI to communicate findings to stakeholders.
- System Optimization: Collaborate with IT teams to improve data storage systems and ensure data integrity across government platforms.
- Stakeholder Communication: Present technical findings to non-technical audiences and advise leadership on data-driven strategies.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all data practices adhere to state and federal privacy laws and government reporting standards.
- Project Support: Assist in the planning and execution of large-scale state initiatives requiring rigorous data validation.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a related analytical role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL for database querying; experience with Python or R is highly preferred.
- Visualization Tools: Strong working knowledge of Tableau, Power BI, or similar data visualization software.
- Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Clearance: Ability to pass a standard background check required for state employment.
