Responsibilities
- Architecture & Design: Lead the end-to-end design of scalable cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure) compliant with FedRAMP and NIST standards.
- Security Implementation: Implement and maintain advanced security protocols, including encryption, identity management, and threat detection systems.
- System Integration: Oversee the integration of complex enterprise systems and third-party APIs to ensure seamless data flow.
- Compliance Management: Ensure all technical deployments adhere to federal regulations, security clearances, and internal governance policies.
- Team Leadership: Mentor junior engineers, conduct code reviews, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Critical Incident Response: Lead troubleshooting and recovery efforts during system outages or security incidents.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in Systems Engineering or IT Infrastructure.
- Certifications: Active CISSP or Security+ certification required; Cloud certifications (AWS Solutions Architect or Azure Solutions Expert) preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python, Bash scripting, and virtualization technologies.
- Knowledge: Deep understanding of federal IT frameworks (FISMA, DIACAP) and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Communication: Exceptional ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
