Responsibilities
- Analyze complex transportation data to recommend policy improvements for urban mobility systems
- Develop legislative proposals and budget justifications for infrastructure projects
- Coordinate with federal agencies on highway safety and environmental compliance
- Lead stakeholder engagement sessions with local governments and community groups
- Prepare comprehensive policy briefs for executive leadership and state legislators
- Oversee research initiatives on emerging transportation technologies
- Maintain compliance with federal transportation regulations (FTA/FHWA)
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Urban Planning, Transportation Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in transportation policy or infrastructure planning
- Proficiency in statistical analysis tools (SPSS, R, or SAS)
- Demonstrated experience with Arizona's legislative process
- Valid Arizona driver's license
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience managing public-private partnership projects
- Knowledge of federal transportation grant programs
