Responsibilities
- Lead comprehensive urban planning initiatives for major infrastructure and housing projects
- Analyze zoning laws and develop policy recommendations aligned with SF's Climate Action Strategy
- Coordinate with community stakeholders and elected officials through public hearings
- Prepare detailed environmental impact reports and land use applications
- Manage cross-departmental projects using GIS mapping and data visualization tools
- Advise on affordable housing developments and transit-oriented design
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Urban Planning, Public Policy, or related field
- 5+ years of municipal planning experience with government agencies
- California AICP certification required
- Expertise in CEQA/NEPA compliance and environmental review processes
- Proficiency in ArcGIS, AutoCAD, and urban modeling software
- Demonstrated experience with community engagement and public speaking
- Valid California driver's license
