Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive urban planning strategies aligned with Portland's Climate Action Plan
- Lead community engagement sessions for major infrastructure projects
- Analyze zoning regulations and propose policy improvements
- Coordinate with state agencies on transportation corridor development
- Prepare environmental impact assessments for proposed developments
- Manage cross-departmental project timelines and deliverables
- Advise on affordable housing integration strategies
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Urban Planning, Public Administration, or related field
- 5+ years of municipal planning experience with portfolio of large-scale projects
- Expertise in Oregon land use regulations (SB 1573, ORS Chapter 197)
- Proficiency in GIS software (ArcGIS, QGIS) and urban modeling tools
- Proven track record in community consensus-building
- Valid Oregon driver's license
- LEED AP or AICP certification preferred
