Responsibilities
- Manage departmental records, databases, and confidential documents with precision
- Coordinate public outreach programs and community engagement initiatives
- Process administrative permits/licenses ensuring compliance with state regulations
- Support budget tracking and financial reporting for assigned programs
- Train and mentor new administrative staff on department protocols
- Collaborate with state agencies to implement regional policies
- Prepare detailed reports for senior leadership and legislative bodies
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; Associate's degree preferred
- 3+ years in administrative support or public sector experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and state record systems
- Bilingual English/Spanish certification (required)
- Valid Texas driver's license
- Background clearance through Texas Department of Public Safety
- Experience with public records management (Texas Public Information Act)
- Ability to pass civil service examination
