Responsibilities
- Manage daily office operations, including scheduling, correspondence, and record maintenance
- Process and reconcile weekly payroll documentation for department staff
- Coordinate public inquiries and provide accurate information regarding state programs
- Prepare reports, memos, and presentations using Microsoft Office Suite
- Assist in procurement procedures and inventory management for office supplies
- Support event coordination for community outreach initiatives
- Maintain confidentiality and compliance with state regulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred
- 2+ years administrative experience in government or public sector
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and payroll systems
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish
- Ability to pass state background check and fingerprinting
- Valid Texas driver's license with clean record
