Responsibilities
- Manage and organize incoming correspondence, emails, and official documents with strict adherence to confidentiality protocols.
- Prepare, distribute, and archive meeting agendas, minutes, and comprehensive reports for executive leadership and stakeholders.
- Coordinate complex schedules, appointments, and travel arrangements for department staff and officials.
- Assist in the implementation and monitoring of state policies, compliance procedures, and regulatory updates.
- Perform high-volume data entry, record-keeping, and database management using state-approved software systems.
- Act as the primary point of contact for visitors, vendors, and internal departments, ensuring a professional reception.
- Support inter-departmental projects by compiling research and drafting internal communications.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Political Science, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in administrative support, preferably within a government or public sector setting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and experience with state government ERP systems.
- Strong working knowledge of North Carolina state regulations, compliance standards, and government terminology.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to draft clear, professional correspondence.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with the highest level of discretion and integrity.
