Responsibilities
- Manage state agency correspondence, records, and document processing with strict compliance protocols
- Coordinate departmental operations including scheduling, meeting logistics, and vendor communications
- Analyze and report on operational metrics using Excel and state reporting systems
- Provide frontline constituent support via phone, email, and in-person inquiries
- Maintain digital filing systems with 99.9% accuracy and audit readiness
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on special projects and policy implementations
- Train new staff on administrative procedures and compliance standards
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Public Administration or related field (Bachelor's preferred)
- Minimum 2 years government or administrative experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Illinois state residency required upon hire
- Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
