Responsibilities
- Develop and implement state-level policies aligned with legislative mandates
- Manage interdepartmental projects and coordinate cross-agency initiatives
- Analyze legislative impacts and recommend regulatory adjustments
- Oversee budget allocation and fiscal compliance for assigned programs
- Prepare comprehensive reports for state leadership and legislative bodies
- Lead stakeholder engagement with community organizations and industry partners
- Maintain compliance with California Government Code and administrative procedures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in federal/state/local government or public sector
- Advanced proficiency in policy analysis and regulatory frameworks
- Proven project management with PMP or similar certification
- Strong knowledge of California's legislative and budget processes
- Exceptional written/verbal communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance
