Responsibilities
- Assist in the collection, analysis, and visualization of complex data sets to support state policy and administrative decisions.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation for software applications and system processes to ensure compliance.
- Conduct quality assurance testing to identify bugs and ensure software meets all federal and state regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with senior analysts and cross-functional teams to identify process improvements and innovative solutions.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot basic technical issues reported by internal users.
- Prepare clear, concise, and actionable reports for department heads and legislative bodies.
- Participate in ongoing training and stay updated on emerging government technology trends.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Public Administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Strong foundational knowledge of SQL, Python, or Java programming languages.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data accurately and draw valid conclusions.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and a commitment to data integrity and security.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for presenting technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
