Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the operation of state servers, networks, and cloud infrastructure.
- Monitor system performance, security protocols, and data integrity to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Configure and troubleshoot complex hardware and software issues for government agencies.
- Collaborate with IT staff to implement cybersecurity measures and disaster recovery plans.
- Document technical processes and maintain accurate inventory records of IT assets.
- Provide technical support and training to internal government staff.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 5+ years of professional experience in systems administration or network engineering.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, and virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V).
- Familiarity with government compliance standards (FISMA, NIST) is highly preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, high-security environment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical staff.
