Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and optimization of the state-wide IT network and server infrastructure.
- Cybersecurity Compliance: Implement and monitor advanced security protocols to protect sensitive government data against cyber threats and ensure adherence to federal and state compliance standards.
- System Administration: Manage and configure enterprise software solutions, including cloud-based platforms (AWS/Azure) and on-premise legacy systems.
- Project Coordination: Lead technical projects from conception to deployment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet strict government timelines and budget requirements.
- Vendor Relations: Evaluate, negotiate, and manage contracts with third-party technology vendors to ensure cost-effectiveness and service quality.
- Technical Support: Provide advanced troubleshooting and guidance to internal staff, resolving complex technical issues efficiently to minimize downtime.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent years of professional experience.
- Certifications: Active CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or AWS Solutions Architect certification preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure, network administration, or cybersecurity within a large-scale environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in managing Linux/Windows servers, virtualization technologies, and enterprise firewall configurations.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Government Standards: Demonstrated ability to work within strict regulatory frameworks and government procurement processes.
