Responsibilities
- Provide tier 1 and tier 2 technical support to state agency employees via phone, email, and ticketing systems.
- Manage and maintain state government databases and record-keeping systems with strict adherence to data privacy laws.
- Assist in the procurement and installation of hardware and software solutions for government facilities.
- Conduct regular system audits to ensure compliance with state security policies and regulations.
- Collaborate with department heads to identify technological needs and implement cost-effective solutions.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all IT incidents, resolutions, and maintenance schedules.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's degree in Information Technology or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT support, public administration, or a similar administrative role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with government-specific software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is a plus.
- Strong understanding of data privacy laws and government compliance standards.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to pass a background check and obtain necessary state security clearances.
