Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain complex IT systems and applications in accordance with state standards.
- Analyze user requirements and translate them into technical specifications for development teams.
- Conduct system testing, debugging, and performance tuning to ensure optimal functionality.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for internal government staff and external partners.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement security protocols and data governance policies.
- Prepare technical documentation, including system architecture diagrams and user manuals.
- Monitor system performance and proactively address potential issues to minimize downtime.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in systems analysis, software development, or IT support.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#.
- Strong understanding of database management systems (SQL, Oracle) and cloud technologies.
- Experience working with government or public sector IT environments is highly preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a State of Ohio background check.
