The Role:
In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the integrity and security of our network systems during off-hours. You will serve as the first line of defense for critical state data, ensuring seamless operations across the organization.
Responsibilities
- System Monitoring & Maintenance: Monitor network performance, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and perform routine maintenance on servers and workstations during the night shift.
- Critical Incident Response: Respond to and resolve security alerts and system outages with minimal downtime to ensure business continuity.
- Network Configuration: Configure routers, switches, and firewalls to maintain optimal network security and performance.
- Data Backup & Recovery: Execute automated and manual data backup procedures, verifying integrity to ensure data loss prevention.
- Vendor Coordination: Communicate with third-party vendors and support teams regarding scheduled maintenance and urgent repairs.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate technical documentation, logs, and change records for all system modifications.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in network administration, systems engineering, or IT support.
- Night Shift Availability: Must be willing and able to work a rotating night shift schedule (e.g., 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM).
- Certifications: CompTIA Network+, CCNA, or CISSP certification is highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, and virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interfacing with technical and non-technical staff.
