Responsibilities
- Monitor security systems and patrol state facilities during overnight hours
- Respond to emergencies, incidents, and alarm activations with urgency
- Document all activities, incidents, and observations in official reports
- Coordinate with law enforcement and emergency services as needed
- Maintain access control and verify credentials for personnel and visitors
- Conduct routine safety inspections of property and equipment
- Provide excellent customer service to overnight staff and visitors
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Valid North Carolina driver's license
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions
- Basic computer literacy and report-writing skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods during shifts
- Pass background check and security clearance
- Previous security or law enforcement experience preferred
