Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain state facility security systems during overnight hours
- Conduct routine inspections of critical infrastructure (HVAC, lighting, access controls)
- Respond to emergency alerts and coordinate with on-call teams
- Document incident reports and operational logs with precision
- Collaborate with day-shift staff for seamless handovers
- Enforce safety protocols and emergency procedures
- Support state facility operations during high-traffic events
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; associate's degree preferred
- Valid Illinois driver's license with clean record
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure
- Basic technical knowledge of facility systems (electrical, plumbing, HVAC)
- Clear background check and drug screening required
- Experience with surveillance systems or emergency response preferred
- Availability for rotating weekend/holiday shifts
