Responsibilities
- Conduct nightly patrols of state facilities and perimeter areas using advanced surveillance systems
- Monitor security cameras and respond immediately to alarms or suspicious activity
- Enforce access control policies and verify credentials for all personnel entering restricted zones
- Document security incidents and prepare detailed shift reports using digital reporting systems
- Coordinate with law enforcement and emergency services during critical incidents
- Conduct safety inspections of equipment and facilities to ensure compliance with state standards
- Provide emergency response support including first aid and crisis management protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in criminal justice preferred
- Valid Colorado driver's license with clean driving record
- Active Colorado Security Guard certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Minimum 2 years experience in law enforcement, military, or commercial security
- Ability to pass comprehensive background check and drug screening
- Proficient in using security software, CCTV systems, and communication devices
- Strong physical stamina and ability to stand/walk for 8+ hours overnight
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
