Responsibilities
- Analyze complex policy issues and provide recommendations to state legislators and agency heads.
- Conduct research and prepare detailed reports on legislative proposals and their potential impacts.
- Monitor federal and state legislative activities and assess implications for Colorado.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including government agencies, non-profits, and community organizations.
- Assist in the development of legislative budgets and track spending.
- Present findings and recommendations in clear, concise written and oral communications.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, Economics, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in policy analysis, government relations, or legislative affairs.
- Strong research, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of Colorado state government processes and procedures.
