Responsibilities
- Provide on-site technical support and troubleshooting for state agency hardware and software during weekend shifts.
- Monitor and maintain the integrity of critical server systems and network infrastructure.
- Perform routine system backups, updates, and security patches outside of peak business hours.
- Assist in the deployment of new hardware and software solutions for government offices.
- Respond to emergency tickets and escalations with a focus on rapid resolution and minimal downtime.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, incidents, and resolutions in the government ticketing system.
- Collaborate with the main IT support team during handover periods to ensure seamless service continuity.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT support, help desk, or system administration roles.
- Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) on a rotating schedule.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with network troubleshooting and hardware repair is highly desirable.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interfacing with government personnel.
- Ability to pass a background check and obtain necessary security clearances for state employment.
