Job Summary
The Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles is seeking a detail-oriented professional to assist with weekend administrative operations. In this role, you will serve the community by ensuring smooth processing of documents and providing exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
- Assist customers with vehicle registrations, titles, and license renewals during peak weekend hours.
- Verify the accuracy of submitted documentation against state compliance standards.
- Process payments and issue receipts accurately using state accounting software.
- Operate office equipment, including scanners, printers, and Point of Sale (POS) systems.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Handle sensitive information with the highest level of confidentiality and integrity.
- Collaborate with the week-day team to resolve complex customer service issues.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's degree preferred.
- Previous experience in government, customer service, or administrative support is highly desirable.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to detect errors in data entry.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic computer literacy and typing skills (40+ WPM).
- Ability to work a rotating weekend schedule, including Saturdays and Sundays.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Lawfully Authorized to work in the United States.
