Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support to agency employees during weekend operations.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware, peripherals, and software applications.
- Monitor server performance and perform routine maintenance to ensure system uptime.
- Assist in data migration and system backup procedures.
- Document technical issues, resolutions, and resolutions in the state knowledge base.
- Collaborate with the central IT team to implement new security protocols.
- Respond to help desk tickets and resolve issues within defined service level agreements.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Information Technology or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional IT support or help desk experience.
- Familiarity with government IT standards, security policies, and compliance regulations.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues independently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work rotating weekends (Saturday/Sunday) and holidays as required.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Network+ are a plus.
