Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the department's local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN) infrastructure to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Provide advanced technical troubleshooting, support, and maintenance for hardware, software, and peripheral devices.
- Implement and monitor security protocols to safeguard sensitive government data and protect against cyber threats.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, deploy, and optimize IT solutions that meet agency goals.
- Document technical processes, system configurations, and incident reports to ensure knowledge continuity.
- Conduct regular system audits and performance evaluations to identify areas for improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in IT support, systems administration, or network engineering.
- Valid certification such as CompTIA Network+, Security+, or AWS Certified Solutions Architect is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking, Microsoft Active Directory, and virtualization technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced government environment.
