Responsibilities
- Analyze complex system requirements and design technical solutions to meet state agency needs.
- Oversee the full software development lifecycle, ensuring quality assurance and compliance with state standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, project managers, and stakeholders, to deliver projects on time.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve system bottlenecks and technical issues efficiently.
- Maintain and update technical documentation, including architecture diagrams and standard operating procedures.
- Conduct system performance tuning and security audits to protect sensitive government data.
- Train junior staff and provide technical guidance to ensure team best practices are followed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent relevant experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in systems analysis, software engineering, or IT project management.
- Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or SQL.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and virtualization technologies.
- Deep understanding of IT security protocols and government compliance standards (e.g., NIST, FISMA).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to obtain a suitable background check and security clearance.
