Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repair of city streets, sidewalks, and curbs.
- Operate heavy machinery, including jackhammers, rollers, and asphalt pavers.
- Set up and monitor traffic control devices and flagger operations.
- Clear debris, vegetation, and snow from roadways and public right-of-ways.
- Inspect municipal infrastructure for safety hazards and report findings.
- Collaborate with other city departments on large-scale infrastructure projects.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid California Class C Driver's License required.
- Physical ability to perform strenuous labor in all weather conditions.
- Ability to operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Pass a background check, drug screening, and physical exam.
