Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Management: Monitor and maintain LAN/WAN hardware and software to ensure optimal performance.
- Critical Maintenance: Execute server patching, updates, and security hardening during off-peak hours.
- Incident Response: Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues for internal staff and government agencies.
- Data Integrity: Oversee automated backup systems and perform manual data restoration if necessary.
- Security Compliance: Enforce security protocols and conduct routine vulnerability assessments.
- Vendor Coordination: Communicate with third-party IT vendors regarding infrastructure status and upgrades.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent military experience).
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in systems administration or network support.
- Certifications: CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Windows Server, Active Directory, and PowerShell scripting.
- Availability: Must be available to work Friday through Sunday, 6:00 PM – 2:00 AM.
- Communication: Strong ability to document technical processes and communicate with non-technical stakeholders.
