Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive transportation plans for urban corridors using GIS and traffic modeling software
- Analyze multimodal transportation data to identify infrastructure improvement opportunities
- Coordinate with federal, state, and local agencies on infrastructure projects
- Prepare environmental impact assessments and compliance documentation
- Present findings to stakeholders through technical reports and public forums
- Manage transportation grant applications and compliance reporting
- Maintain compliance with federal transit regulations (FTA) and state policies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years of transportation planning experience with government agencies
- Proficiency in GIS (ArcGIS) and transportation modeling software (TransCAD, VISSIM)
- Strong knowledge of federal transit regulations (FTA) and Massachusetts transportation policies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for public presentations
- Valid Massachusetts driver's license
- Experience with NEPA documentation and environmental reviews
- Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines
