Responsibilities
- Analyze traffic patterns and urban growth data to optimize transportation infrastructure
- Develop comprehensive corridor improvement plans for major San Antonio roadways
- Coordinate with local government agencies on transit-oriented development projects
- Prepare detailed environmental impact assessments and mitigation strategies
- Lead public stakeholder engagement sessions and community outreach initiatives
- Manage multimodal transportation grant applications and compliance reporting
- Utilize GIS software and traffic simulation modeling for scenario planning
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, or related field
- 3+ years of transportation planning experience with public sector preference
- Texas Professional Engineer (PE) or AICP certification required
- Advanced proficiency in ArcGIS, TransCAD, and traffic modeling software
- Demonstrated experience with federal/state transportation grant programs
- Strong public speaking and stakeholder facilitation skills
- Valid Texas Driver's License with clean record
- Knowledge of San Antonio's transportation landscape preferred
