Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive transportation plans for King County metropolitan area
- Lead cross-functional teams in corridor studies and project prioritization
- Oversee environmental compliance and NEPA documentation for major capital projects
- Analyze multimodal traffic patterns using GIS and transportation modeling tools
- Manage $50M+ project budgets and procurement processes
- Coordinate with Seattle DOT, Sound Transit, and regional transit authorities
- Present policy recommendations to state legislators and city council members
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Transportation Engineering, Urban Planning, or related field
- 5+ years progressive experience in transportation planning
- Professional Engineer (PE) or AICP certification required
- Expertise in transportation modeling software (TransCAD, Cube Voyager)
- Proven track record managing federal/state grant-funded projects
- Advanced knowledge of Washington State Growth Management Act
- Strong public speaking and stakeholder engagement abilities
- Experience leading diverse teams in unionized environments
