Responsibilities
- Operate advanced X-ray machines and explosive detection systems to screen passengers and baggage
- Conduct thorough physical searches of individuals and carry-on items using TSA protocols
- Monitor security checkpoints and respond to potential threats with decisive action
- Enforce federal security regulations while maintaining exceptional customer service
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during security incidents
- Maintain accurate documentation of security operations and incidents
- Participate in continuous training on new security technologies and procedures
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and valid driver's license required
- Ability to pass federal background investigation and drug screening
- High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred)
- Minimum 1 year customer service or security experience
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 50+ pounds
- Proficient in English with clear communication skills
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Basic computer literacy and willingness to learn specialized screening equipment
