Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough security screenings of passengers, carry-on and checked baggage, and cargo using X-ray equipment and walk-through metal detectors.
- Identify and resolve prohibited items to ensure the safety of the transportation system.
- Interact professionally and courteously with the public, including passengers with special needs and individuals with diverse backgrounds.
- Document all screening activities and incidents accurately in accordance with TSA protocols.
- Maintain a high standard of personal grooming and uniform compliance at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient passenger flow and operational efficiency.
- Remain alert and observant to detect potential threats or security breaches.
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or National, or a Lawful Permanent Resident (Green Card holder).
- Must be able to pass a federal background check, drug screen, and medical assessment.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds repeatedly throughout a shift.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and perform physical activities for extended periods.
- Must have the ability to distinguish colors accurately (e.g., red vs. green lights).
- Must possess a valid driver's license.
