Responsibilities
- Screen passengers, carry-on luggage, and cargo using advanced X-ray technology and manual search techniques
- Monitor security checkpoints to detect potential threats and prohibited items
- Operate metal detectors, baggage scanners, and other security equipment
- Conduct pat-down searches and baggage inspections as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation of security incidents and screening activities
- Provide excellent customer service while enforcing TSA regulations
- Collaborate with law enforcement during emergency situations
Qualifications
- US citizenship or legal residency status
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Valid US driver's license
- Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays
- Basic computer literacy and ability to learn security systems
- Strong communication skills in English and Spanish (bilingual preferred)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
