Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and baggage using advanced detection equipment to identify prohibited items
- Conduct thorough physical searches when necessary following TSA protocols
- Operate X-ray machines, CT scanners, and trace detection systems
- Provide clear communication to travelers regarding security procedures
- Document and report security incidents and suspicious activities
- Maintain strict compliance with TSA regulations and operational standards
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during security escalations
- Train on new security technologies and procedures as required
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status
- High school diploma or equivalent education
- Pass comprehensive background investigation and drug screening
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Basic computer proficiency with data entry skills
- Strong attention to detail and observational abilities
