Responsibilities
- Screen passengers, carry-on luggage, and cargo for threats using X-ray machines and physical inspection methods.
- Operate and monitor advanced security screening equipment to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Enforce security directives and protocols to maintain a safe and secure travel environment.
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting travelers and resolving inquiries with professionalism.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure efficient passenger processing during peak hours.
- Identify and report any suspicious activities or security breaches immediately to supervisory personnel.
- Maintain strict adherence to grooming standards and physical fitness requirements as outlined by agency policy.
Qualifications
- United States Citizenship and the ability to pass a thorough background investigation and drug screen.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds repeatedly without assistance.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including weekends, holidays, and nights.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Basic computer literacy and ability to use handheld scanners and ticketing systems.
- No disqualifying criminal history or immigration status issues.
