Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and carry-on luggage for prohibited items using advanced X-ray equipment and manual search techniques
- Monitor airport operations to identify and respond to security threats
- Operate walk-through metal detectors and explosive detection systems
- Conduct pat-down searches and baggage inspections as required
- Enforce TSA security protocols while maintaining professional customer service
- Document security incidents and suspicious activities through proper reporting channels
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport staff during emergency situations
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Pass criminal background check and drug screening
- Ability to obtain and maintain TSA security clearance
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods in fast-paced environment
- Basic computer literacy and ability to learn technical systems
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts including weekends and holidays
