Responsibilities
- Perform security screening of passengers, carry-on baggage, and cargo using X-ray technology and walk-through metal detectors.
- Enforce security regulations and procedures to prevent prohibited items from entering secure areas of the airport.
- Identify and resolve potential security threats through vigilant observation and screening techniques.
- Interact professionally and courteously with passengers, explaining screening procedures and providing assistance when necessary.
- Document screening actions accurately and report any suspicious activities or equipment malfunctions immediately to supervisors.
- Maintain a high standard of physical fitness and attention to detail throughout assigned shifts.
- Collaborate with fellow security officers to ensure efficient flow of passengers and effective security coverage.
Qualifications
- United States Citizenship is required.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to pass a background check, medical examination, and drug screening.
- No felony convictions within the past seven years.
- Must pass a medical assessment to ensure physical capability for lifting and standing.
- Ability to work varying shifts, including weekends, holidays, and nights, as required by the operational schedule.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
