Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough passenger and baggage screening using advanced imaging technology and manual inspection techniques
- Enforce TSA security regulations while maintaining professional and courteous interactions with travelers
- Identify and report prohibited items, suspicious activities, and potential security threats
- Operate X-ray scanners, metal detectors, and explosive detection equipment
- Respond effectively to emergency situations and security breaches
- Maintain accurate screening documentation and incident reports
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during security operations
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship or legal permanent resident status
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to pass a background investigation and drug screening
- Valid U.S. driver's license or state-issued ID
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Strong communication skills and ability to remain calm under pressure
- Basic computer proficiency for documentation systems
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
