Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and carry-on luggage for prohibited items using advanced X-ray scanners and metal detectors
- Conduct thorough pat-down searches and baggage inspections as required
- Operate state-of-the-art security technology including CT scanners and ETD devices
- Maintain strict adherence to TSA Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Provide exceptional customer service during security screening interactions
- Document security incidents and suspicious activities via TSA reporting systems
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during emergency situations
Qualifications
- US citizenship or permanent residency status
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Pass background investigation and drug screening
- Successfully complete TSA Security Training Academy
- Ability to work rotating shifts (including nights, weekends, holidays)
- Basic computer literacy for security system operation
- Ability to stand for extended periods (4-6 hours continuously)
- Strong communication skills in English (written/spoken)
