As a key member of our security team, you'll operate advanced screening technology, conduct thorough passenger and baggage inspections, and enforce federal security protocols. This full-time position offers stability with competitive pay, health benefits, and retirement plans.
Responsibilities
- Operate X-ray machines, metal detectors, and CT scanners to screen passengers and carry-on baggage
- Conduct physical pat-down searches and baggage inspections as required
- Verify travel documents and boarding passes against passenger identities
- Identify and report prohibited items according to TSA regulations
- Maintain security checkpoint efficiency while providing courteous customer service
- Respond to security incidents and coordinate with law enforcement when necessary
- Complete detailed security reports and documentation
Qualifications
- US citizenship or permanent resident status
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to pass a background investigation and security screening
- Valid state driver's license
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Basic computer proficiency for documentation systems
