Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and carry-on luggage using advanced X-ray technology and metal detectors
- Conduct thorough pat-down searches and bag inspections per TSA protocols
- Monitor security checkpoints and respond to suspicious activity alerts
- Operate TSA-approved equipment including EDS and trace detection systems
- Enforce airport access control procedures and credential verification
- Document security incidents and maintain accurate screening records
- Collaborate with law enforcement during emergency situations
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to pass federal background investigation and drug screening
- Valid state driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Basic computer literacy and data entry skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Must pass TSA security assessment and fitness test
