Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough security screenings of passengers, carry-on luggage, and cargo using advanced X-ray and detection equipment
- Monitor checkpoints to detect potential threats and enforce TSA security protocols
- Perform pat-down searches and bag inspections as mandated by security guidelines
- Operate metal detectors, trace detection devices, and other security technology
- Maintain detailed logs of security incidents and suspicious activities
- Provide excellent customer service while enforcing security procedures
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during security incidents
Qualifications
- US citizenship or legal permanent resident status
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Valid government-issued photo identification
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 70 pounds
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn technical systems
- Strong communication skills and ability to remain calm under pressure
- Willingness to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
