Responsibilities
- Operate X-ray machines, metal detectors, and explosive detection systems
- Conduct thorough physical screening of passengers and carry-on baggage
- Monitor security checkpoints and respond to suspicious items or behavior
- Enforce TSA security regulations and communicate procedures to travelers
- Complete detailed incident reports and maintain accurate documentation
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during security alerts
- Adhere to all TSA policies and federal security guidelines
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship or legal permanent residency status
- High school diploma or equivalent education
- Ability to pass extensive background check and drug screening
- Flexible availability to work rotating shifts including nights/weekends
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Basic computer proficiency and clear communication skills
- Ability to obtain and maintain TSA security clearance
