Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and carry-on luggage using advanced X-ray technology and manual detection methods
- Monitor checkpoints and identify potential security threats through behavioral observation
- Enforce TSA security protocols while maintaining courteous and efficient passenger interactions
- Operate and maintain security screening equipment including EDS and trace detection systems
- Document security incidents and maintain accurate screening logs
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during emergency situations
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship or legal permanent residency status
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Pass background investigation and security clearance process
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Basic computer literacy and ability to learn security technologies
- Strong communication skills in English (bilingual candidates preferred)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
