Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and carry-on baggage for prohibited items using X-ray machines and metal detectors
- Conduct thorough physical searches of individuals and property as required
- Operate advanced imaging technology and other screening equipment
- Communicate effectively with passengers to ensure a smooth screening process
- Report and respond to security concerns or suspicious activities
- Follow TSA policies and procedures to maintain high security standards
- Assist in emergency situations and maintain order in screening areas
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to pass a background investigation and drug test
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Basic computer skills
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
