Responsibilities
- Screen passengers, carry-on luggage, and cargo using X-ray machines, metal detectors, and advanced imaging technology
- Conduct physical pat-down searches and baggage inspections when security protocols require
- Identify and report suspicious items, threats, or security breaches to supervisors
- Provide clear instructions to travelers during security screening procedures
- Maintain accurate documentation of security incidents and screening activities
- Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency response teams during critical incidents
- Adhere to TSA policies and federal regulations at all times
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship (required)
- High school diploma or equivalent (G accepted)
- Pass TSA background investigation and drug screening
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Valid government-issued photo identification
- Proficient in English (reading, writing, speaking)
- Ability to work rotating shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays
- No felony convictions or recent employment gaps exceeding 30 days
