Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and carry-on baggage using advanced X-ray technology and metal detectors
- Conduct thorough physical searches of persons and property as required by security protocols
- Monitor security checkpoints and respond to suspicious activity with appropriate procedures
- Operate and maintain security equipment including EDS systems and trace detection devices
- Enforce TSA regulations while maintaining courteous and professional interactions with travelers
- Document security incidents and complete detailed reports using agency systems
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during security operations
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national
- Successfully pass a background investigation and drug screening
- Complete TSA-mandated security training program (provided)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills
- Basic computer literacy for operating security equipment
- Ability to communicate clearly in English
- No prior felony convictions or serious misdemeanors
