Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and carry-on baggage using X-ray machines, metal detectors, and advanced imaging technology
- Conduct thorough pat-down searches and baggage inspections to detect prohibited items
- Operate TSA security equipment and maintain accurate documentation of screening activities
- Provide exceptional customer service while enforcing security protocols with professionalism
- Identify and report suspicious items, behaviors, or security threats to supervisors
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during emergency situations
- Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to TSA regulations and procedures
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent resident status
- High school diploma or equivalent education
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening
- Valid state driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Strong communication skills and ability to remain calm under pressure
