Responsibilities
- Operate X-ray machines and walk-through metal detectors to screen passengers and carry-on luggage
- Conduct physical pat-down searches and baggage inspections as required
- Identify and report prohibited items and security threats following TSA protocols
- Provide excellent customer service while maintaining security standards
- Document screening activities and maintain accurate security logs
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during security incidents
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and ability to pass a background investigation
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn security screening technologies
- Valid U.S. driver's license (if required for airport access)
