Responsibilities
- Screen passengers, carry-on bags, and cargo using X-ray machines, metal detectors, and manual search techniques
- Identify and resolve security threats while maintaining efficient passenger flow
- Operate advanced security equipment including EDS and trace detection systems
- Document security incidents and suspicious activity reports with precision
- Provide courteous customer service during high-stress screening interactions
- Enforce TSA regulations and security procedures consistently
- Participate in mandatory recurrent training and certification programs
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship is mandatory
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Pass rigorous background investigation and drug screening
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand for extended periods
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Valid state driver's license
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Basic computer proficiency for reporting systems
